Innisfree Cottage is located in the picturesque Isle of Whithorn and has breathtaking views of the coastline, the rolling hills and is situated around the harbour looking out to sea.

The Cottage has been updated and modernised retaining all of the origional features and is an excellent comfortable furnished home. Overlooking the picturesque harbour with spectacular sea views from the sitting area and every bedroom window. The perfect place from which to explore all that Galloway has to offer.

With its stunning coastline, sandy beaches, unspoilt countryside and views out to sea, the area is also rich in history. The Machars of Galloway offer peace, tranquility and an amazing variety of activities for the visitor.

With mile upon mile of stunning coastline and unspoilt countryside, this is the perfect place for a range of activities including:

. Sailing . Hunting . Diving, swimming and paddling
. Fishing . Golfing . Bird-Watching

Galloway also has some of the darkest night skies in ( very little light pollution) which make the area perfect for astronomers and amateur star-gazers alike. Seafishing trips are often available from the harbour as is sailing tuition from the yacht club. For book lovers, no visit to the area would be complete without visiting Scotland's National Book Town at nearby Wigtown.

The Isle has two pubs (one with restaurant) both within a very short walking distance of the cottage. The Steam Packet pub offers excellent food, wine and many different varieties of real ale. a small shop-cum post office is open every day.
